Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Xi'an

Meet-and-greet at Xi'an Xianyang Int'l Airport or Xi'an North Railway Station; private transfer to hotel. Free time. Meals on your own. Overnight: Xi'an.

Day 2

Tian'anmen Square, Flag-Raising, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Forbidden City, Shichahai

Early-morning flag-raising ceremony on Tian'anmen Square, then the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall (exterior view if closed). Continue into the Forbidden City (approx. 2h). Afternoon stroll through the Shichahai hutong lanes. The Forbidden City requires advance real-name reservation.

Day 3

Badaling Great Wall, Summer Palace, Old Summer Palace

Morning at the Badaling Great Wall. Afternoon at the Summer Palace (Long Corridor, Kunming Lake) and the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan) ruins park.

Day 4

Temple of Heaven, Jingnan Performing Arts City (complimentary, worth RMB 398)

Morning at the Temple of Heaven and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Afternoon at the Jingnan Performing Arts City: VIP guiding, battery-car loop, Old Beijing crosstalk, courtyard intangible-heritage workshop, Ming Armory show and Chinese costume experience.

Day 5

Pingjin Campaign Memorial Hall, Tianjin City Tour, Return

Morning at the Pingjin Campaign Memorial Hall, then downtown Tianjin along the Hai River - European-style architecture beside everyday street life. Evening return transfer.

Do I need a visa for this tour? ＋

Most Western nationals need an L (tourist) visa, applied 4-6 weeks ahead; we provide a confirmation letter, itinerary and hotel confirmations. Many European passports currently qualify for visa-free entry under temporary schemes - we will confirm the rules for your nationality at booking.

How do I pay for the tour? ＋

PayPal only. After booking confirmation we send a PayPal payment request to your email; deposit and balance are both payable through that link, with international cards, debit cards and guest checkout supported.

Is tipping required? ＋

Not obligatory in China, but customary on international tours: $8-12 USD per person per day for the guide and $4-6 USD for the driver, given at the end of the tour.

Can I use Google, WhatsApp and Instagram in China? ＋

They are blocked on local connections. Use a roaming eSIM from your home provider or install a VPN before arrival - VPN apps cannot be downloaded once inside China.

I am travelling alone. Will I share a room? ＋

No. We never pair strangers; solo travellers pay the single supplement of $420 USD / EUR 385.

What are the child and infant rates? ＋

Children aged 2-11 pay 75% of the adult rate sharing a bed; infants 0-23 months pay 10% with no bed. All travellers, including infants, need a rail ticket and seat.

What if a site like the Forbidden City is closed? ＋

Sites operate real-name reservation systems and may close for official events. We substitute a comparable experience and adjust the order without reducing the sightseeing content.

What daily spending setup do I need? ＋

Link an international card to Alipay or WeChat Pay before departure and carry RMB 500-1,000 in cash; your guide helps with the setup on arrival.
